Day 1; ARRIVAL IN KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL Arrival at the Kigali International Airport, meet and greet with the guide and give you a short briefing about the trip. Transfer to the Hotel, check in and acclimatize to the climate of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight

Day 2; TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE EN-ROUTE TOUR BUTARE & CANOPY WALK WAY

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Nyungwe National Park (7am) en-route visit the King’s palace, the Ethnographic Museum which gives introduction to Rwanda’s kingdoms. Lunch and proceed to Nyungwe Forest which covers 1000 square kilometers, Nyungwe is surely one of the world’s most beautiful and pristine mountain rainforests. It’s believed to be one of Africa’s oldest forests, staying green even through the Ice Age, which explains its diversity. Home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primate species (including a 400-strong troop of habituated Ruwenzori Black & White Colobus), it’s also a birder’s paradise with over 300 species, including 16 endemics, and is home to 75 different species of mammal. Arrival and visit the famous canopy walk way, a 70 m artificial bridge, one of its kind in East Africa. Overnight:

Day 3; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN NYUNGWE AND TRANSFER TO KIBUYE – LAKE KIVU

Early breakfast at 4:30am then drive to the edge of the forest where chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe starts inside the rainforest which also gives you the opportunity to see rare plants, birds and smell the unique forest flowers etc. Transfer to Kibuye/Karongi at the Lake Kivu one of the Albertine rift valley lakes in Africa and the largest of the fresh water lakes that gleam in the Albertine (Western) rift of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Kivu stands at 1461m (4,790ft) above sea level establishing it as Africa’s highest lake. Kibuye is Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze. Overnight

Day 4; BOAT CRUISE TO THE NAPOLEON AND PEACE ISLANDS & TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI – AIRPORT

Breakfast later transfer to the shores of the Lake Kivu to enjoy a boat ride to visit the Napoleon and Amahoro (Peace) Islands to see a number of colorful birds, clouds of big fruit bats, learn the history of the lake and the beautiful views of the Lake surroundings. Drive back to Kigali and to Airport.
