Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Welcome to Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, meet your guide and take a short city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda’s past and resilience. Enjoy a delicious local lunch before setting off on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, take in the rolling hills and lush landscapes. Check into your comfortable lodge, unwind, and enjoy dinner with a view of the misty Virunga Mountains.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. With an experienced guide, trek through dense forests and bamboo-covered slopes, listening to the sounds of nature. After some time, you’ll come face to face with a gorilla family—watch them play, groom, and interact. Spend an hour observing these majestic creatures before trekking back. Return to the lodge, enjoy a warm meal, and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Dian Fossey Hike & Gorilla Conservation Center Visit

Hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb, where you’ll learn about her dedication to protecting mountain gorillas. Walk through her old research site and listen to inspiring stories about conservation efforts. Later, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Conservation Center for an interactive tour, where you’ll learn more about gorilla protection. Spend the evening at the lodge, enjoying a delicious dinner by the fire.

Day 4: Canoeing on Mukungwa River & Transfer to Bwindi

Start the day with a peaceful canoe ride on the Mukungwa River, surrounded by Rwanda’s rolling green hills and birdlife. After lunch, embark on a scenic drive across the border into Uganda. Pass through vibrant villages and lush forests before reaching Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Settle into your lodge, enjoy a hearty dinner, and prepare for another exciting gorilla trek.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Another thrilling day of gorilla trekking awaits! This time, you’ll explore Bwindi’s dense rainforest, following expert trackers to locate a different gorilla family. The experience is just as magical, offering a chance to witness gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge, take a refreshing shower, and relax while soaking in the jungle ambiance.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, drive through Uganda’s countryside to Lake Mburo National Park, famous for its zebras, giraffes, and hippos. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, spotting animals like buffalo, impalas, and warthogs as the sun sets. Spend the night at a cozy safari lodge, where you can enjoy a campfire under the stars.

Day 7: Morning Nature Walk & Flight to Nairobi

Take an early morning nature walk with a guide, learning about the park’s flora and fauna. After breakfast, drive to Entebbe Airport and board a flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival, check into your comfortable hotel and rest for the night, getting ready for the next adventure.

Day 8: Journey to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Depart Nairobi for the famous Masai Mara, one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations. The drive offers beautiful landscapes, including the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at your safari lodge. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive, where you’ll spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, and more. Return to your lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 9: Full Day Safari in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of Masai Mara. Witness wildebeests grazing, predators on the hunt, and herds of elephants moving gracefully. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari adventure. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 10: Cross into Tanzania & Enter Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive to the Kenya-Tanzania border and complete immigration formalities. Continue into the Serengeti, where the adventure continues. Spot wildlife along the way before reaching your lodge, nestled in the heart of the park. Relax and enjoy dinner while listening to the sounds of the wild.

Day 11: Full Day Safari in Serengeti

Explore the Serengeti on a full-day safari, searching for lions, leopards, and massive herds of wildebeests and zebras. Stop for a scenic picnic lunch under an acacia tree before continuing the drive. In the evening, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 12: Morning Safari & Transfer to Ngorongoro

Begin the day with a sunrise game drive, capturing breathtaking views of the Serengeti. After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for lunch at a scenic viewpoint before reaching your lodge on the crater rim. Enjoy a relaxing evening with stunning views of the crater.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Transfer to Lake Manyara

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big Five, including black rhinos and large prides of lions. Explore the diverse ecosystem and enjoy close wildlife encounters. After lunch, drive to Lake Manyara, where you’ll check into a lodge overlooking the scenic lake.

Day 14: Cultural Tour & Tarangire Safari

Visit Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience—meet locals, explore bustling markets, and taste traditional Tanzanian food. In the afternoon, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a short game drive before heading to your lodge.

Day 15: Full Day Safari in Tarangire National Park

Spend a full day in Tarangire, watching elephants roam freely and spotting tree-climbing lions. Stop for a picnic lunch in the wild and take in the peaceful surroundings. Later, return to the lodge and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the park.

Day 16: Drive to Amboseli National Park, Kenya

After breakfast, cross back into Kenya and head to Amboseli National Park, famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, watching herds of elephants and other wildlife roam freely. Check into your lodge and enjoy the evening under the African sky.

Day 17: Morning Safari & Departure from Nairobi

Start the day with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli, taking in the stunning landscapes and wildlife. After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi and transfer to the airport for your departure flight, bringing your incredible East African safari adventure to a close.
