A major highlight is a stop at the Equator for an exciting water experiment and memorable photo opportunities. Continue your journey with another break in Mbarara, where you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and relax. Enjoy breathtaking views of the misty forest before settling in for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and fuel up with a hearty breakfast. Head to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing about gorilla trekking, including safety protocols and what to expect. With your guide and ranger escort, embark on an unforgettable trek deep into the rainforest, tracking a specific gorilla family.
The trek can take anywhere between 2 to 9 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. As you hike through dense vegetation, you may encounter other wildlife like colobus monkeys, forest elephants, and a variety of bird species. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have one magical hour to observe and photograph them as they play, feed, and interact in their natural habitat.
After your trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest lake, famous for its stunning scenery and numerous islands. Relax by the lakeshore, take a boat ride, or go for a swim (as the lake is bilharzia-free and safe). Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a lakeside lodge.
After breakfast, take in the fresh air and peaceful surroundings of Lake Bunyonyi before setting off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most famous safari destinations. The journey takes you through the scenic Ishasha Sector, home to the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions. Keep your camera ready as you might spot them lounging in fig trees, surveying their territory.
Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park, where you’ll spot elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, and various antelope species. Proceed to the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for lion and leopard sightings. After the game drive, check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious dinner before a restful night.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best places to see lions, elephants, leopards, and buffaloes. The early morning hours offer prime wildlife viewing, as animals are most active at this time. The drive also provides breathtaking views of crater lakes scattered across the park.
In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This cruise is a highlight of the safari, offering incredible sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and countless water birds.
