Just amazing. - I have just completed 11 days with Uganda Adventure Safaris as a solo female traveler, and I cannot tell you how amazing it was. The organisation through Chris right from... read more the start was seamless and easy. Constant WhatsApps helped me to feel reassured that I had picked the right company to go with! Unfortunately, Chris wasn’t able to join me on safari but he put me with a truly lovely female guide, Leticia, who made the trip incredible. Everything from the safaris to 2 gorilla treks and chimp trekking could not have been better. I celebrated my birthday while I was there and was surprised with a cake and a little party to make it truly special. I cannot recommend this company enough, Uganda is a truly special country and I already cannot wait to return!
Absolute best guide (Chris) and tour company - As a solo female traveler, I could not recommend Uganda Adventure Safaris more highly, with all thanks to Chris, my guide/tour planner/driver. Overall, just a fantastic travel companion/friend!
He is very knowledgeable about Uganda and East Africa in general. I came back from our trip having learned so much. He is also passionate about music, which I loved, so he introduced me to a lot of awesome songs from local artists, as well artists from all over the continent and the world! He was super keen to learn from me too, so we had an amazing time exchanging music and stories throughout the entire trip. I loved hearing some of his music from Japan and Germany--songs that had been introduced to him by previous clients--each of which came with a lovely story and fond memories attached, which I had fun hearing about from Chris. It was a blast!
The itinerary Chris created was perfectly planned. We stayed in clean, comfortable, and beautiful accommodations. And Chris maximized our time by planning our itinerary around what made sense geographically and the routes that we needed to take to get from point A to point B. He was punctual and organized, making for a seamless, stress-free journey.
Chris was also very flexible and fully prioritized my enjoyment of the experience. He went above and beyond to cater the trip to my needs and desires. He's perceptive and thoughtful, always paying attention to things that I liked, and used that to dictate the pace of the trip and the stops we made. He brought me to some breathtaking viewpoints and delicious restaurants. He noticed that I loved the grilled street corn that we once stopped for on the side of the road, and then he made a point to pull over to buy some for me whenever we had the chance.
My sister, Nicole, has taken many trips with Chris with Uganda Adventure Safaris and she has expressed that each trip has been as wonderful as the last. The common threads we have seen in our experiences have been Chris' generosity, kindness, and passion for fostering genuine connections with his clients and creating meaningful, unforgettable experiences on each of his tours.
I could go on and on about how incredible my trip was and how Chris was simply the best, but I'll leave it at this. Whenever I come back to East Africa, I will always choose Uganda Adventure Safaris and recommend you do the same. You will leave with friendship, wisdom, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Chris of Uganda Adventure Safaris was my guide for the trip. We left Kampala on February 21st and returned on the 26th. It was amazing having so many days to explore the natural wonders of Kidepo. During this trip I was also able to explore another city that was new to me, Gulu. As soon as we arrived at Kidepo, we went on a game drive. Chris was determined for us to see as much wildlife as possible. In addition to being professional, Chris is also well connected. He has good working relationships with many of the park employees. And because of those connections, the rangers helped us find the wildlife in the park. We were able to see a beautiful male lion, up close and personal. Another thing of note about Chris and Uganda Adventure Safaris is that they are excellent at picking accommodations for their guests. During my time at Kidepo, I stayed at the Apoka Lodge. It is a budget accommodation but very comfortable with friendly staff. One of the unique features of Apoka is they have a watering hole in the middle of their lodge, where the animals of the park come to drink and cool off in the water. On two separate occasions during my stay, I saw families of elephants playing and drinking in the watering hole. The watering hole is situated directly across from the dining area for the lodge, so it is easy to catch animals while you take in a meal. This unexpected surprise was one of the highlights of my trip. I would of never witnessed such an amazing site, if Chris had not booked this particular accommodation for me. This is just one example of how Chris and Uganda Adventure Safaris goes above and beyond for their guests. Their attention to detail, positive attitude, professionalism, and kindness ensure that EVERY one of their guests will have the trip of a lifetime. I have spent alot of time in Uganda. Following our visit to the Rhino sanctuary in the morning, we headed up to Murchison Falls in the afternoon. Chris spontaneously took us on a short game drive that evening to see if we could spot any rare animals. We spent the night at the Red Chilli Rest Camp where we enjoyed a cold beer with Chris around the bonfire.
